Thoughts as Springboard
Rest in the fundamental nature of thoughts, the realm of self experiencing luminosity and emptiness. That doesn't pose any particular problem, if you know how to get into it.
To get into it, look nakedly into the essence of whatever thought comes up. All thoughts, when seen nakedly, are luminosity-emptiness. Rest naturally without strategies, relaxing in natural space, in the luminous-empty thought field. Any thought centered in like this becomes the support for the meditation. Any and all thoughts can thus become the basis for resting in equipoise. Any and all thoughts can be used as the springboard into mahāmudrā shamatha. No matter how many thoughts come up, it's alright; it doesn't make any difference.
Look nakedly into the essence of any
Let mind relax in itself without
