引生心的明晰面向
應運用什麼方法,要取決於你的禪修體驗如何。如果體驗到昏沉,就運用探天三摩地;如果掉舉了,就用探地三摩地。
你有可能在修座的前段陷入了掉舉,這時應該運用探地三摩地;也可能在修座的後段昏沉了,那時就要用探天三摩地。
如果因為陷入掉舉的狀態而心浮氣躁,就要禪修探地三摩地,讓心沉靜下來;如果心因為昏沉的狀態而低沉,則用探天三摩地來將心提振起來。這兩種禪修方法將會引生出心明晰的面向。
這時將會生起專一的三摩地,並且去除這兩種情況各別的過失和障礙。

Bringing Out the Luminous Aspect of Mind
It depends on how your meditation experience is going. If you are experiencing dullness, use the space probing samādhi; if agitation, use the earth probing.
It could also be that you are involved in agitation during the first part of the session, in which case you should use earth probing, and dullness during the last part, then use space probing.
Meditating on the one, the samādhi probing the depths of the earth, to bring the mind down if it is flighty due to being involved in an agitated state, and the other, the samādhi probing the depths of space, to lift it up if it is down due to a state of dullness-these two focal devices will bring out the luminous aspect of mind.
One-pointed samādhi arises, and the respective faults and hindrances are removed.
